Curbside Holds Pick-Up Service

Library Made Easy!

Curbside pick-up service is usually reserved for grocery store and restaurants, but library patrons in Zeeland can now get their movies and books without leaving their car. Howard Miller Public Library has launched the first curbside pick up service in West Michigan and is only the second public library in the state to offer this convenient method of accessing all the library has to offer.

This service is great for parents with kids, people running errands, or people with mobility challenges! Using the service is simple:

  1. Patrons can go online or call the library to select the items they wish to enjoy.
  2. Once the items have arrived at the library and are available for pick-up, a notice will be sent to the patron. Sign up for email notifications here!
  3. To pick-up curbside, patrons simply need to park in the designated space along the library's Church Street entrance and call the library: (616)772-0874
Have your library card ready! You will read off the numbers on the phone.
  4. Staff will check out the items to you and deliver the materials right to your car!

During COVID:

We are offering curbside pickup currently but there are differences:

We cannot accept returns via curbside. We cannot hand you your items. You might not be able to use the curbside parking space, but any parking spot on Church St. is okay.

*Curbside exchanges will now consist of your holds in a bag labelled with your last name. A staff member will put the bag on the cart near the library’s entrance on Church St. If you have mobility issues, please let us know and we will deliver your holds to your vehicle. If you are in quarantine, please send another person to pick up your holds. We will check them out to a family member or friend for you.
